Summers Mill was created as a Christian retreat center in the 2000s, for visitors to experience serenity and peacefulness away from daily stress. Today, Summers Mill hosts Christian gatherings, as well as public school and college groups, family escapes, business workshops, plus weddings, conferences, and other events.
The popular retreat center is centrally located in the heart of the gorgeous Texas Hill Country, just outside of Belton. The natural setting provides many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, with the Chapel in the Woods being a favorite place for a few moments of calmness.
Walking trails are perfect for meandering among the pecan trees and towering oaks or for taking strolls. Guests also enjoy picnics along the pleasant creek side. There are also outdoor spaces for sports, like pickleball, tennis, and other recreational sports.
A total of 150 retreat visitors can be accommodated in lodges, cabins, and suites on the property. The rooms and houses feature charming Texas-style decor, some with stone fireplaces and wood accents, porches and swings, and spacious living areas for relaxing in comfort.
Ample meeting spaces can accommodate up to 150 guests, with cozy spaces for smaller group meetings. Summers Mill has an excellent in-house caterer who can prepare meals, or retreats can use the onsite housing kitchens to provide their own meals.
