Nestled among towering oak trees on 240 acres of Texas Hill Country terrain, you’ll find Camp Young Judea (CYJ) retreat center. Groups from all over the country come to this inviting and well-equipped property near Wimberley to participate in corporate team-building programs, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, high school retreats, weddings, and other special occasions.
The gorgeous CYJ grounds include generous outdoor and recreational spaces, such as an amphitheater overlooking the lake, gazebos and picnic areas, a shady grove for relaxing, and a basketball court.
Indoor meeting spaces can accommodate large corporate groups or small intimate meetings. The 5000 square feet main hall includes a performance stage and quality sound equipment. There’s a second large (2000 square feet) party/celebration hall that features a wall of windows for sweeping views of the wooded property.
CYJ offers a variety of accommodation options, from a hotel-like “Retreat Village” with 24 private rooms/baths to their “Namaste Center” with 10 rooms, perfect for a yoga or spiritual retreat.
There’s also a large lodge with 20 rooms with baths and a divided “cabin building” with each side housing 14-20 guests. You will also find a multiple-user bathroom facility on each side.
